鲁比奥在社交媒体平台X上发文称：“刚刚听说塔利班挟持的美国人质比报道的要多。如果这是真的，我们将立即对巨额悬赏塔利班最高领导人，可能比我们奥萨马（Osama Bin Laden）的悬赏还要大。”该贴文并未提供塔利班扣押的美国人的具体人数。
